|Become a CPHR|
We are the exclusive granting body in Nova Scotia for the nationally recognized Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
Be a member in good standing with our Association.
Register for the National Knowledge Exam, agree to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct, and pass the exam. Upon successful completion of the NKE exam, you will become a CPHR Candidate. You have up to ten years to complete the final steps (and must remain a current member during this period). Candidates may only proceed to step 3 once they have received confirmation that they have passed the National Knowledge Exam (NKE).
Provide confirmation of completion of a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree before applying to meet the Experience Requirement (step 4).

CPHR Candidates have ten (10) years to complete the certification process.
Important note: Individuals obtain/retain the CPHR in the province in which they work. If an individual is not working in NS, they should be pursuing the CPHR in the province where they are working. In cases where individuals work in more than one province, they may apply to have their CPHR recognized in more than one province.
