Have you heard employees say "My office chair is killing me!"? Many employees are sedentary, and even those that are fit, the solution is not to abandon sitting and stand for the entire day. We have see the "sit and stand" workstation become common place. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? We will cover the pros and cons of using the new alternative working methods, do some myth busting and look at cool technologies to support employees.

Nate Toevs, Squire Solutions.  Nate lives in Langley with his beautiful wife Andrea and they have 2 boys, Josh 25 and Cameron 21....Nate has a long standing background in Retail, Wholesale and Business to Business sales and marketing activities.  The Neil Squire Society for 33 years has worked with thousands of people in Canada that have physical disabilities and helping them overcome these barriers using assistive technologies.  They primarily work with people that have restrictive movements, chronic pain, low vision, hearing loss and many other challenges.  Many of these barriers can be overcome with Assistive Technologies.  They work with some of BC's best companies in helping to keep their employees health on the job, and if and when they become injured assisting to getting them back to work as soon as possible.  Things you may not know about Nate....Jumped out of a perfectly good airplane...twice...from 3500 feet.  He white water rafted a Class 4/Class 5 river The Nahatlatch River in BC/Shark Cage Diving in Gansbaai (pronounced Hans Bye)/Saw all 5 of the Big 5 on Safari in South Africa/ Drove 18 laps in a stock car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at a top speed of 132 MPH.

How to Register

Every person attending this webinar must be registered (and paid for) individually.

IMPORTANT: Registering someone other than yourself? If you are a member and are registering someone else to attend the event, DO NOT log into the site to register. If the other person is a member, they must log in using their own member ID and password and register that way. The registration deadline is 12 noon on Thursday, November 16, 2017.  Please note that registrations are not possible after online registration has closed.  

Important note: Both registration and payment are required for every person attending this webinar.

Payment Terms

Payment is due within 30 days of registration or by the registration deadline of November 16, 2017 (whichever is earlier). Payments may be made conveniently online by Visa/Mastercard at the time of registration or by cheque received by the registration deadline. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration or by November 16th (whichever is earlier) by CPHR Nova Scotia at 84 Chain Lake Drive, Suite 103, Halifax, NS B3S 1A2. Registrations November 1st or later must be paid by Visa/MC at time of registration.

If paying online by Visa or Mastercard, you must have the billing address exactly as it appears on the credit card statement or the transaction will be declined. This is a security feature for your protection.


Cancellation Policy

A full refund, less a $40+HST processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received in writing by November 7, 2017 at 12:00 noon. Those who make reservations and do not attend will still be required to pay for the full session fee. Cancellations received by CPHR Nova Scotia in writing by 12 noon on November 7, 2017 will only be charged the processing fee. Substitutions are permitted if received by November 17th at 12:00 noon (for substitutions, the registrant must advise our office of their replacement in writing by 12 noon on November 17th including the full name, email and phone number of the substitution). Member/non-member rates will be applied to the substitutions. This cancellation policy applies regardless of date of registration. Registrations after the cancellation deadline are non-refundable.
